1921年7月27日、ノース・キャロライナのグリーンビルに生まれ、2009年現在87歳のビリー・テイラーは1944年ニュー・ヨークの52ストリートでベン・ウェブスター・カルテットとの共演して以来、ピアニストとして数々の作品を残してきました。このCDは1956年ビリー・テイラー・トリオの2つの連続したアルバム「Neither Evergreens」と「At The London House」をカップリングしたコンプリート盤。初CD化の貴重盤です。(jazzyell 115号より)
