2009 boxset from the British Rock institution, the second of four box sets containing CD reproductions of their original singles. Great care has been taken to ensure the audio on these CDs represents exactly what was on the original vinyl singles. Packaged in a flip top box the 13 CD singles feature a selection of faithfully reproduced cover artwork from around the world. This second installment contains 13 singles released between 1979 and 1984. Singles include 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love', 'Play The Game', Another One Bites The Dust', 'Under Pressure', 'Radio Ga Ga', 'I Want To Break Free' and more. 26 tracks. EMI.

これでは不充分。。。
このＶＯＬ２から、具体的には「ザ・ワークス」以降は１２インチシングル、あるいはＣＤシングルの時代になるので、それ以前のようにＡＢ面に各１曲という構成から逸脱し、ロングバージョンやリミックスバージョンが多く発売されている。

私としては「シングル・コレクション」というタイトルを逸脱するのかもしれないが、この機会に、シングルという名のもとに発表された全ての音源をこの４個のボックスセットで網羅できることを期待して、まずはＶＯＬ１を買った。

しかしながら、ニュースリリース内容を見る限り、それは無さそうだ。実際に「ラジオＧＡＧＡ」の１２インチシングルを持っているが、そこにはロングバージョンが収録されていた。それが収録されていないことは確実のようだ。まあ、最後のＶＯＬ４などでレアリティーズとして収録される可能性も捨てきれないが、このままではちょっと不十分な印象だ。
