エレクトリックブルーズ
歌を歌うブルーズギタリスト。モダンでしゃれたブルーズを展開。メンフィスホーンズがしっかりサポートしてひきしまったアルバムに。
ややライトなブルーズアルバム。歌声もかなりポップ。
１０点中８点　　濃いブルーズというよりも薄味なブルーズ
ギタープレーに味がある。

いつの間にかベテランになっていた
ロバート・クレイはシティ・ブルースとかジャンルに属するらしいのですが、古くからのブルースファンから見れば、ＡＯＲなのかも知れない。
ところが、歌もうまいしギターもうまい・・・。全体が洗練され過ぎているから軽く聞こえるのかも知れません。
しかし、この人が泥臭く演奏したり歌ったりしても受けないだろうと感じます。
別のアルバムでアルバート・コリンズとの競演（ギター・バトル）もありますが、一方の泥臭さに押され気味であったと記憶しています。
ロバート・クレイの初期の作品は似たような感じで泥臭いブルースはちょっと・・と言った方には良いと思います。
