LeAnn Rimesのデビュー
LeAnn Rimesが13歳でデビューした時の第一作。ジャケットも初々しい田舎のカントリーガールという感じ。しかし伸びと張りのある歌唱力は説得力大。ティーンエイジャーのシンガーがこのクオリティでデビューアルバムをリリースすることに脱帽。いきなり1曲目の「Blue」でファンにさせられました。なんとも懐かしい思いにさせてくれます。「Talk to me」には作詞に参加。ソングライターとしての将来にも期待したいですね。

伸びのある声のどこか懐かしいサウンド
彼女は伸びがあって、とてもキレイで、強すぎなく、とても聴きやすい、
とてもいい歌声をしています。
彼女の声からか、曲調からか、どこかなつかしいような雰囲気のする一枚です。

このアルバムを知らずしてリアン・ライムズを語る無かれ
私が最初にリアン・ライムズを好きになった曲はReview my kissesで、このアルバムには入っていないんですけど、このアルバムを試聴して、一曲目の「ブルー」が聞こえてきた途端、雷に打たれたようにショックを受けました。

ライナーノーツを読んで、この声が13歳だと知ってもう一度腰が抜けました。そのとき私は13歳だったのです。歌手になろうという夢は捨てました。
