タイトル曲にニンマリ
故スティービー・レイ・ボーンのバックバンド、Double Trouble と組んだスタジオ盤。年々、音楽的に脱色が進んでいるバディと、テキサス的なアクを抑えたバックの演奏とで、さらっと聴き易く仕上っている。毎日ブルースばっか演奏してると、最後はこんな感じになるのだろうか。ホーンもコーラスもほとんど無し。ラジオ局のセッションと言われたら信じてしまいそうだ。
バディのプレイはレイボーンに劣らぬギターオタクぶりを発揮していて、黒さよりテクを求める向きは満足度の高いアルバムかもしれない。
1曲だけ雰囲気が違うのはタイトルチューンの(7)で、題名からしていかにもな曲らしく、シカゴ風ノリで疑似ライブパフォーマンスをやっている。

五つ星しかありえない、バディ中毒に注意を…
乗りに乗ったギターテク、調子の良いときのバディそのものだ。南部のバンドをスタジオセッションに向かえ、あえて泥臭さと際立つテクニックの両立を狙った作品と言えるだろう。このＣＤにはなんの心配もいらない、心行くまでバディのブルースを堪能してほしい。唯一心配なことは、このＣＤを聴いたあなたがバディの中毒になってしまうことだろうか…。
