「自分を信じる方法」がここに。
　この本は、私にとって…いえ、多くのマイケルファンにとっては必読の、それどころか二冊買いの作品ではないでしょうか。
　第五章のこの文章に、私はノックアウトされました。

　" You can't do your best when you're doubting yourself. If you don't believe in yourself, who will?"
（自分自身を疑っていたらベストは尽くせない。自分が自分を信じられなかったら、いったい誰が信じてくれる？）


　彼の天才は、その歌やダンスや発想の豊かさ、想像力の豊かさ以上に、それだけ「自分をとことんまで信じぬける」ところにあったのではないでしょうか。たとえ周りに馬鹿にされても批判されても彼は信じ続けたし、周りが諦めても妥協しても彼は完璧を追求した。

　同じページで彼はこうも言っていました。
　" Your mind is powerful enough to help you attain whatever you want."
（　人の思いは、望みを叶えられるくらい強いものだ）

　生まれ持った才能があるとかないとかそういうことじゃなく。

　冒頭で２冊買いだと書いたのは、１冊は読みまくって特に感銘を受けたところには線を引いて、何度だって自分を勇気づけたいからです。迷ったり揺らいだりしたときに。そしてもう１冊は大事に保管します。ほかの方のレビューでもありましたが、装丁もいいですよ。マイケルの好きな赤・黒・金でデザインされていて、ちゃんと思い入れを持って作ってくださったのだとありがたく思います。
　また、間に入っている写真も見たこともないのが多いです。かっこいい！！！です。

　ぜひたくさんの人に触れて感銘を受けてほしい、素晴らしい本です。
　
　

　

　

これなら読める！
英語自体もそんなに難しくないので、分からない単語を辞書で引いたりしながら読めば、なんとか読めました。
まだ読み途中ですが、なかなか面白いです。

表紙や裏表紙（カバーを外しても）とてもお洒落な作りになっています。
なかなか丈夫で、しっかりしています。

この本は1988年のMoonwalkを再発行したものであり、最初にはBerry Goedyの前置きみたいのが付け加えられていました。

写真もたくさんあり、白黒のものからカラーのもの（見開きにできる写真も）までありました。
写真をなんとなく見ているだけでも、とても面白いと思います。

彼についての他のどんな特集本より手元にあるべき本の1冊です。
素直な彼自身の言葉やイラストなのですから、別の次元といえばそうですが。

気がはやって、英語版を読むのがまどろっこしい時は、日本語訳版を読んで、余裕がある時は彼の選んだ言葉のままを読み解く…。

Michaelの事を知りたい人、彼の人間性に触れたい人、必読。
