新たな発見の連続！
1950～1970年代のパリの街角や風景を捉えたCARTIER-BRESSONの代表的写真集の１つ。

写真を趣味にする人だけでなく、色々なかたにオススメしたくなるほど素晴らしい写真の数々。見る度に新たな発見があるような、言葉を失うような素晴らしい構図、そして、1枚の写真で伝わる様々な感覚、いつ見ても新鮮な刺激を感じることのできる素敵な1冊。

またモノクロで荒い粒子のプリントを利用し、あまり絞らずに写されたいくつかの遠景写真はまるで完成度の高い水墨画を見ているかのような錯覚さえ受ける瞬間も。

私の中ではCARTIER-BRESSON最高の写真集の１つです。

神ワザ。
ブレッソンの写真は奇跡的なワンシーンが多い。その奇跡の瞬間をおさめた写真集がこれです。
パッと見、「すごいなー」と思うだけの写真かもしれませんが、ではどんな場所から撮ったのか？どんな構成で撮ったのか？どんな気持ちで撮ったのか？…を考えだすとなかなか止まりません。写真一枚一枚が当時の面影をそのまま切り取っています。生々しいその瞬間的な描写は自分がレンズを覗いているような感覚になります。この写真集を見て同じようにレンズを覗きシャッターを押したブレッソンを感じてください。最終的にブレッソンは本物の天才カメラマンだというところに行きつくはずです。
